“ Technology that transforms tourism: the Turistec ecosystem ” is the title of the directory that will be launched on January 21 at 11:00 AM at the Balearic Islands stand , coinciding with the first day of Fitur 2026. The catalog, which will be presented by the cluster’s president, Jaume Monserrat , and introduced by the Balearic Islands’ Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Jaume Bauzá , reflects Turistec’s commitment to “ pioneering technologies adapted to the real needs of the sector , the development of specialized talent with training and personal growth programs, as well as sustainable business models, integrating real, social and economic dimensions into each project.”
The document will provide access to the full range of services connecting companies, institutions, and talent that create technological solutions and make a difference anywhere in the world, fostering the digital transformation of industry with a global impact. Currently, more than one hundred national and international companies are members, generating over 220,000 jobs.
The support of the Balearic Islands government, home to the international cluster and epicenter of tourism knowledge, confirms the public-private cooperation aspect that Turistec promotes as an essential collaboration to build a competitive and responsible future.
New ebook on technological trends for tourism
Also on the 21st, at 4:45 pm in the FiturTechY area , Thinktur will present a new edition of the trends ebook that this 2026 is dedicated to robotics and automation in tourism.
The digital book is developed annually by the Group of Technology Centers in Tourism, to which Turistec belongs, and aims to identify and share the main technological trends in the sector. This year’s cluster partners contributing their expertise in this area are Mirai, textos[hub], and Wiongo Robotics .
Furthermore, Turistec’s manager and president, Mercè Masip and Jaume Monserrat , will hold various institutional meetings at Fitur, while the stand located in the Knowledge Pavilion (stand 12A13), which is being launched this year to showcase all the technology offerings, will be staffed by Lupe Rubio and David Bañuls , Project Office and Project Manager, respectively. Press and communications will be handled by Cristina Torres .
Turistec attends Fitur with 13 co-exhibiting partners with agendas full of business meetings and product presentations , in addition to several interventions in the SegitturLab area.
